ABOUT

From top VCE results to helping others achieve theirs.

Hi, I’m Jack — a 2023 VCE Baccalaureate graduate with a 99.55 ATAR, a love for problem-solving, and a passion for teaching. When I’m not tutoring Maths and Physics, you’ll often find me running Taekwondo classes, where I’ve learned the value of discipline, patience, and clear communication. Now, I bring that same energy into my tutoring — combining high-level subject knowledge with a teaching style that’s approachable, supportive, and tailored to each student.

With proven results, hundreds of hours of tutoring experience, and a deep understanding of the current VCE study designs, my goal is simple: to make learning clearer, more enjoyable, and more effective.

ABOUT ME

When I’m not teaching, you’ll usually find me training or competing — whether that’s in Taekwondo, where I’ve represented at state, national, and international levels, or on the climbing wall, taking on my next rock-climbing challenge. Both sports have shaped how I approach tutoring: they’ve taught me focus, persistence, and how to break big challenges into smaller, achievable steps.

Both sports have shaped how I approach tutoring: they’ve taught me focus, persistence, and how to break big challenges into smaller, achievable steps.

Alongside competing, I’ve spent years as a Taekwondo instructor, using over a decade of experience to create lessons that are structured, engaging, and adaptable for students of all skill levels to thrive.

Outside of sport, I’ve been involved in initiatives like debating, social justice advocacy, and student leadership, all of which have strengthened my communication skills and reinforced my belief that learning should be both challenging and rewarding.

I’m currently studying a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering Systems at the University of Melbourne, where I get to combine my passion for problem-solving with real-world applications in science and technology. This degree keeps me closely connected to the cutting edge of STEM, and I bring that fresh, practical perspective into my tutoring to show how classroom concepts link to real-life innovations.

I love the problem-solving side of Maths and Physics, but what I enjoy most is making those tricky concepts click for someone else. I keep lessons interactive, focus on building genuine understanding, and always adapt to each student’s needs — because everyone learns differently.

For me, tutoring isn’t just about study scores. It’s about helping students feel confident, capable, and in control of their learning, so they can walk into any SAC or exam knowing they’ve done the work and have the tools to succeed.
